Unisex names needed please

Not for a potential child, I'm afraid... but for a sociology lesson. I want to do a lesson on our assumptions regarding gender. So need some modern day unisex names.

So far I've got...

Lesley /ie
Robyn /in

Umm and that's it. I need 30 names!

The Bronte sisters were originally published under deliberately unisex names that they made up - Ellis, Acton and Currer Bell.

These are all great! I have 14 so far.... decided to go for a change of plan and make all of them 'real people' (with the help of mumsnet and google! This is fantastic. Please keep them coming...

And no, Kelly Jones is not too outdated - it's perfect because the students won't think of them!

Dawned...

Just a starter to an introductory lesson on gender. I want to give every student a unisex name and a job. For example "Sam is a nurse" and ask each students to each write a small biography about that person...

They won't know everyone else has got a unisex name, so then they'll read out the bios, and it'll be the introduction to gender assumptions that they make about people... why did they assume Sam was female for example.. looking at the gender stereotyping we make of others.

Then onto the main bulk of the lesson. Going to also look at some of the examples on No more boys and girls and so on...

But I want them to see that they do it too!

No such thing as a unisex name. Except Frances/is. There are boy's names which girls sometimes have.
