Thanks I've decided it will probably be Emmy or Maggie will wait and see when she gets here

Misty is the name of a fat pony.

Dee03 · 02/09/2017 22:40

I know a misty and she's lovely....her name suits her....I really like it

Mothervulva · 02/09/2017 22:38

I don't think weather makes a great child's name.

Jamhandprints · 02/09/2017 22:37

Misty is a bit trailer parky to me. What about Margaret? Could be shortened to Maggie or Meg depending what suits her. :-)

I do know a Misty, and I like it, but it is a marmite name.

Typical name for grey and smoke cats. I've heard worse I suppose. If you're looking for namesakes Misty Copeland's a good one.

Amee1992x · 02/09/2017 16:09

I had cats called misty and solo growing up 🙈

Lillygreen · 02/09/2017 16:07

It's a little stripper-esque. Not awful at all, but a little cutesy. Could be a good nickname option for something similar?

MiddlingMum · 02/09/2017 16:05

Misty is a weather forecast, not a child's name, sorry.

MammieBear · 02/09/2017 16:00

Famous Ballet dancer comes to my mind! lovey unusual name, ignore negative comments.

Sophronia · 02/09/2017 13:58

I've heard it short for Melissa. Do you like that?

I love Maggie (I suggested it for our dog as hubs wouldn't have it for a child) but misty is a cats name in my opinion xxx

LexieLulu · 02/09/2017 13:12

Lucy and Jude were names I suggested when I had my kids. On that basis (that we might have similar tastes) I called my daughter Alice.

Other contenders for me were Megan and Annie xxx

villainousbroodmare · 02/09/2017 13:03

Thea is lovely, sophisticated and the very opposite of Misty. Maggie is also nice.

daisypond · 02/09/2017 13:00

Mary, Maisie, Millie, Mercy, Molly, Melody?

tempingbowling · 02/09/2017 12:50

Falconhoof1 · 02/09/2017 12:23

I know a Misty. I thought it was short for something at first but it's just her name. It's unusual but I like it

Alittlepotofrosie · 02/09/2017 12:18

Melissa nn misty or missy?

Only1scoop · 02/09/2017 11:10
