Aubrey really isn't popular, but I've seen it on here and I'm falling in love Grin it's so unpopular that I love it!

Finn was our fave but now I'm think but Aubrey is gorgeous!

Help...

Aubrey. Way too many Finns around these days!

EllenJanethickerknickers · 03/09/2017 22:05

I don't really like Aubrey, but I don't get the unisex comments. I've never heard of it as a girl's name, only ever as a boy's.

I like Finlay more than Finn.

Ragusa · 03/09/2017 22:00

Aubrey is fab. Nice sound and not bazillions of them around. Find also has a nice sound but there are a lot around me.

If you like Aubrey but aren't totally sold how about Alban (maybe not if you're Mediterranean colouring :) ), Corben or Fergus?

Finley/Finlay is very popular. Unfortunately, shortened to Finn. Different names however.

Finn not so popular.

I think of Aubrey as a girl, but I know it can be unisex.

I also have a Finn, and he is certainly not the class bully! Kind, popular and cheeky (in a good way)!

Lemondrop99 · 02/09/2017 15:16

I love Aubrey, but didn't get much good feedback when I mentioned it to family and friends Sad

Sophronia · 01/09/2017 20:50

Aubrey

Kellyturnbull · 01/09/2017 12:09

Aubrey 😍 Loving this name for a boy, I have recently saw loads of posts showing love for this name too!! Just remember what matters is if YOU love the name :)

grufallosfriend · 01/09/2017 11:47

Finn is so overused and not at all cool imo.

Aubrey is very cool and much more interesting!

BackieJerkhart · 01/09/2017 11:39

Aubrey is a fat curly haired kid. Finn is a long haired hipster.

Hmm seriously??

Mrscropley · 01/09/2017 11:28

I have a Fynn. Aubrey is a little girl off that American teen pregnancy programme!!

Twinkie1 · 01/09/2017 11:27

Aubrey is a fat curly haired kid. Finn is a long haired hipster.

BackieJerkhart · 01/09/2017 11:13

Finn is far too popular for anyone to ever name another child Finn IMO Grin

Having said that, Aubrey seems to be picking up momentum this year so you could have one of a few in his year at school.

daisypond · 01/09/2017 11:11

They seem very different style of names - really the opposite ends of the spectrum. Finn is cooler/trendier and Aubrey is old gentleman - I imagine some colonel type in tweeds. I quite like both of them.

NC4now · 01/09/2017 10:58

Dowager!! Yes!! That's who I was thinking of the other day when this name came up. Thank you. Yes, I think of that Aubrey too.
It was a bit of a joke name when I was a kid, sadly.

PaganGoddessBrigid · 01/09/2017 10:56

Finn

Aubrey, bloody hell. Knew a Strawberry Aubrey so I could never grow to love the name.

endehors · 01/09/2017 09:50

There are so many little Finns round here it sometimes feels like shark central.
Grin

I remember that Aubrey, Dowager.

TheNaze73 · 01/09/2017 09:40

They'll be 5+ Finn's in his class. It's up their with Alfie & Jack. Nice name but, very popular.
Aubrey is a great name. Love it

user1487671808 · 01/09/2017 09:30

Finn, Aubrey is just awful sorry.

bridgetreilly · 01/09/2017 09:29

Finn.

Aubrey has some quite negative connotations for me.

Sequence · 01/09/2017 09:24

Aubrey is much nicer than Finn, IMHO. More unusual too.

Difficult one, both are nice names! I've always thought of Aubrey as a girls name but I rather like it as a boys name too!

Jooni · 01/09/2017 08:21

Finn. Don't like Aubrey.

How about Aubin? Lovely, unusual and has elements of your other 2 faves.

MrsJoyOdell · 01/09/2017 07:47

Finn. I have a Finn and he's certainly not the class bully, thanks. In fact he's bullied relentlessly for having ASD. Nasty comment.
