Thoughts?

DH loves it, I think of Quim!

What images does a lady called Quinn conjure up? I don't think I've ever met one! (Dr Quinn Medicine Woman?!)

Harley Quinn comes to mind for me too.

LostPlatypus · 07/09/2017 11:22

I've only ever heard it as a girl's name - either on its own or short for Quinntilla (classmate when I was at school).

I don't think many people will link it to quim honestly and it's a pretty name. One of The Vet On the Hill's daughters is called Quinn.

stopbeingadramallama · 07/09/2017 11:18

Yep, Quim.

grufallosfriend · 07/09/2017 11:16

Boy here too.

bridgetreilly · 07/09/2017 11:06

I would assume she was a boy, sorry.

GoldenFleck · 06/09/2017 23:00

I have heard of this name before. I see it as a confident and quick-witted woman's name

AberdeenAngusina · 01/09/2017 21:46

Looks too close to Quim.

icantgetnosleep5 · 01/09/2017 19:42

Quim !

eyebrowsonfleek · 01/09/2017 18:26

Totally unisex to me. Peter Quinn from Homeland or Quinn Perkins from Scandal.

I would pick it as it's so close to Quim but if you're not in the UK then that shouldn't hold you back.

grufallosfriend · 01/09/2017 17:09

Agree, there's nothing feminine about it. Sounds strong and masculine like Finn or Flynn...

emilybrontescorset · 01/09/2017 14:20

I've never heard of it and would assume it's a boys name.

SerfTerf · 31/08/2017 22:37

Maybe there is a regional aspect then?

mayhew · 31/08/2017 22:02

I know a girl called Quin. Sparky and confident child.

Logans · 31/08/2017 21:56

Serf
Oh, interesting. I've heard it said a fair bit.

KitKatCHA · 31/08/2017 20:43

My DD2's middle name is Quinn, had nothing but compliments. To my face anyway Wink

SerfTerf · 31/08/2017 20:39

I can't say I've ever heard it actually said Logan. I'm in my 40s.

Hoople · 31/08/2017 20:36

Quim is Victorian slang for a woman's genitals, it's not a regional thing and it's not a word used very much these days. It's still well known though

Logans · 31/08/2017 20:35

I wouldn't really say archaic so much as better known by the over 35's.

SerfTerf · 31/08/2017 20:30

I think it's archaic Rosie.

RosieTheRiveting · 31/08/2017 20:25

Is Quim regional? I've never heard of it.

bigchris · 31/08/2017 16:07

The really pretty cheerleader in glee! I like it, it's unusual where I am for a start

Bobbins43 · 31/08/2017 16:04

Daria's sister for me...

Zvandelle · 31/08/2017 14:13

"When Quinn the Eskimo gets here, everybody jumps for joy" - The Mighty Quinn. What's not to like?!

May50 · 31/08/2017 13:52

Yes, immediately I think 'quim'. Real potential for teasing there.

SerfTerf · 31/08/2017 11:49

Yes, lovely Rupert Friend springs to mind (yum).
