I love the name Annie but DP wants a "proper" full name for her to fall back on.

Particularly interested in obscure names, so Anastasia rather than Annabel.

I considered calling DD1 Anna, with the nn Annie.

TheImprobableGirl · 06/09/2017 18:22

I know a Savannah nn. Annie

Temporary2002 · 06/09/2017 05:57

Also, why nor any name with Anne in it, shortened to Annie. Eg. Maryanna, Suzanna, Suzannaha, Hannah, Joanna and so on?

Temporary2002 · 06/09/2017 05:51

Adrienna. ("enna" to Anna or Annie)

idontwannaneedthem · 06/09/2017 05:02

My sister is Isabelann but we call her Annie

Applesandpears56 · 06/09/2017 04:53

Anora

Mrsknackered · 30/08/2017 16:36

Most Annie's I know are just Annie.
One is an Anabel and one is spelt Anni as her mum is Finnish.
Lovely name, cringe musical!

Oysterbabe · 30/08/2017 16:30

We were going to have an Annika NN Annie if DC2 was a girl.

Theanniepaige · 30/08/2017 14:27

I'm an Anastasia with the nn Annie :) I love it!
I've never had any negative comments on either name- most older people assume Annie is my full name, because it was always used as one when they were younger, whereas younger people always assume it's a nickname
