Our baby boy arrived yesterday and we have announced his birth (obviously!) and that included his name - Edmund Jack.
My closest friend has outright messaged me and said Edward is much cooler... or I should swap the names around. She then knew I was a bit upset and just said she's joking and "will love him whatever his name" 
My mum has said "you can't call him that"... My dad made a comment about being back in the 1920s.
It's just constant and making me really quite sad. I thought people wouldn't be so rude if he was here...
Be honest: do you like the name Edmund?
It will honestly make me consider using something else.
