please help us choose - Welsh name shortlist

Hi, we'd be glad to know which of our 2 shortlist names you prefer. DD2 coming in 2 weeks. It's been a loooong journey getting to these 2 names. We'd like some extra input to help us make the final decision. DD1 nn is Sunny.

Elin. You might be in Wales now but she may want to leave in the future and Elin is more 'international'.

I think as a combination, Sunny and Elin sound better together, but I'm not a fan of the name (not because of the name itself but because of previous Elins I've known) so I'd go for Mali of the two.

Elin is lovely. Mali would get mispronounced.

I think a lot of people would assume that Mali is pronounced like the country.

Both pretty but Elin is my favourite. Simple, strong and sophisticated. Mali feels a bit more childish.

Mali and Sunny may be too much 'EE' together (I have this problem too as that's the sound my daughter's name ends in and I am drawn to ee sounding names)

So I would go with Elin (and not shorten it to Eli/Ellie)
