Due twin girls the start of October.

We had decided on Everly Genevieve & Spencer Ottilie. My DH loved Spencer but has went off it recently & we are gonna choose another name.

He won't let me have Ottilie 😞.

We like -
Verity (DH choice)
Mila or Veda.

Help us 🤷🏻‍♀️

I LOVE the name Veda

Bailey
Harper
Piper

Twistandshout77 · 19/08/2017 21:12

Everly and Margot works!

LapinR0se · 19/08/2017 20:47

French pronunciation is OTT-ill-ee
German is Ott-EE-lee-ya

Seems you are going for the French one, which is lovely

Amee1992x · 19/08/2017 20:41

I love Margot!

Zinnia Ottilie
Seren Ottilie

Vivienne Ottilie

Sorry wasn't picking at your spelling of it. I just ended up with that little song she sings in it stuck in my head. FWIW I love mila and if DS was a girl he would be a Mila

igotyoubabe · 19/08/2017 20:22

How about Vida as a variation? Means 'Life' in Spanish.

I think Everly is very pretty BTW 😊

AmysTiara · 19/08/2017 20:10

Veda makes me think Darth.

I'd definitely go with Mila.

Amee1992x · 19/08/2017 20:07

I really like Mila also.

Yes the little girl in my girl was called Vada, whatever the spelling is 🙄

DSH1993 · 19/08/2017 20:05

Love Mila too. It's in my baby name list Smile

coursedarlin · 19/08/2017 20:05

Wasn't Veda the little girl in my girl? But spelt vada?

DSH1993 · 19/08/2017 20:05

Love the name Everly!! How about Florence ?

Isadora2007 · 19/08/2017 20:04

Everly when you have an Avery the dog is a bit odd... 🐶

Happily and Everly (then you can add an Afterly (after!)

I actually like a different syllable and sound for twins.

How about Vaila ? It's a Shetland name I loved for baby number 4 but he was a boy.

Dina1234 · 19/08/2017 20:04

Verity is nice,

Amee1992x · 19/08/2017 20:01

Veda would be pronounced Vay-da, it's just a suggestion.

OP posts:
Katurah · 19/08/2017 20:00

With Veda are you aware that they are Hindu scriptures? Pronounced Vay-da - are you planning a Vee-da or Vay-da pronunciation?

I do like the name but may adjust spelling if you intend Vay-da to Vada - makes me think of My Girl.

Enidblyton1 · 19/08/2017 20:00

It has to be Mila from your choices I think.
Verity is a lovely name, but Everly and Verity is such a mouthful to say together (which you will do quite a bit, at least when they are young). Veda sounds like a shortening of another name.

Amee1992x · 19/08/2017 19:58

Not sure what the French pronouncation is but his grandmothers name was pronounced ott-ally.

MerryMarigold · 19/08/2017 19:56

Everly and Verity are really bad together, too similar

MerryMarigold · 19/08/2017 19:55

I think there's too much 'l' sound going on in Everly and Mila. You have to imagine saying their names a lot, together. I have twins too. Are you ready yet blah and blah? Blah and blah, have you cleaned your teeth? I took blah and blah to the park yesterday. Etc. Just say the names together over and over. Everly and Spencer work well from that perspective. Every and Veda, too many v's going on.

OlennasWimple · 19/08/2017 19:54

Avoid Ada, as Everly and Ada sounds like someone mis-pronouncing "happily ever after"

Veda is a bread, but Vida would be an alternative

How about:

Maddison
Elizabeth
Catelyn
Suzanne

LapinR0se · 19/08/2017 19:51

So Everly Genevieve and then Veda Ottilie is think I would go with.
Are you pronouncing Ottilie the French way or the German way

LadyKyliePonsonbyFarquhar · 19/08/2017 19:51

Everly and Ivory go well togetherWink

LorLorr2 · 19/08/2017 19:51

Grace? Amber? Louisa? Lara? Alexa/Alexis?

:)
