It was meant to be Everly & Spencer...

Due twin girls the start of October.

We had decided on Everly Genevieve & Spencer Ottilie. My DH loved Spencer but has went off it recently & we are gonna choose another name.

He won't let me have Ottilie 😞.

We like -
Verity (DH choice)
Mila or Veda.

Help us 🤷🏻‍♀️

Vita?

Amee1992x · 20/08/2017 12:28

Mila & Margot are by far my favourite so far!

Margot is by far the best suggestion

MotherofA · 20/08/2017 10:41

Love Veda ! Wish I had thought of that for my recent DD . I agree don't have two long ie/ y sounding names . Love Everly and Veda.

Delilah
Anya
?

Everly and Tatiana x

Fridgedooropen · 20/08/2017 08:36

Margot is the best suggestion. Go with that. I like Verity as a name but it sounds too singsong similar to Everly. This way the twins have distinct sounding names.

happystory · 20/08/2017 08:23

Too many v sounds flying around - even the dog!

AmethystRaven · 20/08/2017 08:20

Everly and Aubrey/Aubree?

Hobbitch · 20/08/2017 08:18

Veda is the name of the horrible, manipulative, entitled, cruel daughter in Mildred Pierce so I wouldn't want to saddle my child with it. Out of your options Mila is the nicest I think and the Vita suggestion is good too.

Misstomrs · 20/08/2017 08:17

I think Margot is the best suggestion. Although I would also suggest Valentina...

I love the name Mila!

CurrentlyNothing · 20/08/2017 08:10

Margot is gorgeous. As is Verity.

I would do with Margot and Verity (rather than Everly which just sounds like Beverly and I am not ready for a comeback of Beverly!).

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 20/08/2017 08:05

Everly and Margot are lovely !😄

Fozzleyplum · 20/08/2017 07:59

How about Vita (like Vita Sackville-West)? Avoids the pronunciation/Darth issues with Veda.

JoyceDivision · 20/08/2017 07:50

Rita and Sue

ilivebythesea · 20/08/2017 07:43

Everly and Morgan
Everly and Autumn

HelsinkiLights · 20/08/2017 04:03

Everly & Piper
or
Everly & Arden
or
Everly & Harper

nooka · 20/08/2017 03:39

I had assumed that Veda was pronounced Vee-da. If it's really Vay-da then I don't think that's great as to many people it will just make them think of Darth Vadar. Great character but not someone I'd call a a little girl after Grin. What about Vita instead?

I agree with PP that Verity and Everly are too similar sounding, and also weirdly I think too different in type (Verity very traditional virtue name, Everly very modern surname as first name for a girl). I'm glad your dh has gone off Spencer.

Seekingmiracles · 20/08/2017 03:21

LOVE Everly. It was on my list for DD. I don't think many people would assume Beverley at all. People get used to names very quickly.

Of your other names I prefer Veda! Again I had it on my list.

Although I normally like quite masculine girl names, I don't actually think Everly and Spencer go as twin names.
We had Marlowe on our list for DD and the response I got was quite ridiculous...Hmm

TyrionLannistersShadow · 19/08/2017 23:28

How about Everly and Delilah?

PrudenceDear · 19/08/2017 23:20

Mila, I love it. It was on my name list but I couldn't use it as it was too similar to surname.

I think Everly & Mila go well together.

whiteroseredrose · 19/08/2017 23:10

I saw Veda and thought VD. Can't believe I'm the only one!

Amee1992x · 19/08/2017 22:59

I wasn't really worried about the middle names marching, they are middle names. They are being given them because they mean something

I like Mila, but not sure it goes well with Ottilie
