Name suggestions, choice too similar to daughters name?

Dh and I are struggling to agree on girls names. We had a daughter named Anneliese but she died as a baby, I absolutely love her name and it took us ages to agree on. Dh wants to name this child Elise which was our 2nd choice but I'm worried it's too similar to our firstborns name. The names we were thinking of were;
Elise Ivy (dh's choice)
Adeleine Elise (my choice)

Any opinions/suggestions on similar names would be appreciated.

So sorry you lost your first baby op. 💐

HTH, my mil was called the same name as her still born sibling. She changed it in adulthood. it wasn't a nice thing for her at all.

Thank you. I think it will definitely be one of the two we have already picked. I feel a bit more comfortable now I've had a few opinions that Elise isn't too similar. I'm hoping I can convince dh too use my choice as I think I love it almost as much as Anneliese.

I think either option is really beautiful, I actually think Elise is a lovely homage to your DD1 while still being a great name in its own right.

I think it's a lovely name and is a lovely connection.

Another alternate is Ariana.

Ahh bless you sorry to hear of your loss. I wouldn't worry about it being to similar it's a nice tie for them both.

So sorry for your loss. I have the same name as your first daughter, just spelled slightly differently. I like Adeline (this spelling) best from those two options.

I really love Astrid which is similar to anneliese (so sorry for your loss) in terms of origin. My favourite of your choices would be Adeline but not your spelling. Good luck!
