Classic, but slightly less popular girls names?

Hi all,

We're looking for a girls name that is both classic, but not really popular. Easy to spell too! We love the name Amelia, but it's so popular right now we'd like to avoid it.

Some of our choices right now (to give you an example of what we're thinking!) include:

Harriett (Harry)
Winifred (Winnie or Freddie)
Lucy
Everly (Evie)

Any suggestions? Any and all appreciated! Smile

Thanks in advance

Evie and Lucy are really really common. As are all the Ava/Eve/Evelyn types of name.

If you don't want popular, scratch Harriet. Theyre everywhere.

Laura. Josephine. Vivienne. Felicity.
Bunty. Maude. Mabel. Madeleine.
Rachael. Frances. Margaret. Olive.
Teresa. Dorothy. Nellie. Rita. Mary.
May. Marie. Adele. Amy.

We loved Amelia too but thought it was too common/popular. We settled for Lia, she could spell it before she was 2.

I have a Hazel. I love her name and I have never come across another one.
Also on my shortlist were:
Claudia
Celestine
Astrid

Ooh, ooh, tell us what you've added!

Happy to do so :)

There were a few we love but didn't go with for a few reasons. Either they didn't match with our surname, or we have family members with the names. We're trying to not step on toes too much with that and really want something that isn't a family name-a weird notion, I know, but we have so many people with the same name already in our big extended family!

So in addition to our first four, our list has gotten significantly bigger lol here it is:

Harriett
Winifred
Lucy
Everly
May
Rosalind
Clara
Florence
Iris
Fiona
Eloise
Adelaide

I have to say, Eloise, Harriett and Rosalind might be my favorites right now... The hubs has a slightly different list though. Good thing we have time to think about it!
