Can I ask your opinions?

It's OH's favourite, I think it's sweet but I'm not sure what I think about unisex names...

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I'd assume any female Brodie was American.

I'd assume any Bridie was a meat and potato pasty.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 14/08/2017 10:00

I know two girl Brodies. It doesn't do anything for me tbh.

dimdommilpot · 14/08/2017 09:58

I know 2 girl Brodies (ages 2 and 9) and 1boy (age 5). Its ok but not to my taste.

daisymai08 · 14/08/2017 08:16

Love it - never ask opinions on names though so subjective x

17caterpillars1mouse · 14/08/2017 08:15

I know a 21 year old female Brodie. No make Brody's. I quite like it

TurquoiseOwl · 14/08/2017 01:02

Horrible for a girl. Lovely for a boy.

pnutter · 14/08/2017 00:53

I like

Sophronia · 14/08/2017 00:52

No. I only like it for a boy.

Queenofthedrivensnow · 13/08/2017 22:35

I love it and have only met girl Brodie's

glowwormsunite · 13/08/2017 22:31

No. Love it for a boy (spelt Brody) but not for a girl. Definitely not.

dotdotdotmustdash · 13/08/2017 22:30

Brodie is a surname or a boy's name up here in Scotland.

bettybyebye · 13/08/2017 22:25

Weird, I vaguely know someone who has just called her Dd this, though spelled Brody I think. I thought it was a little odd as to me it's definitely a boy's name

Viviennemary · 13/08/2017 22:19

Not very keen on it I'm afraid. Never heard of such a name. Doesn't seem much like a girl's name.

Helspopje · 13/08/2017 22:17

Duh - Brodie darn autocorrect

BirdyBedtime · 13/08/2017 22:17

To me Brodie is definitely a boys name - that DH'S nephew stole for his DD meaning we couldn't use it for DS (not bitter at all)

Helspopje · 13/08/2017 22:16

Bridie is a boys name in Scotland

OrgyofSausages · 13/08/2017 22:13

Horrible.

speakfriendandenter · 13/08/2017 22:08

I think Brodie sounds like a lovely name for a girl Smile

Beelzebop · 13/08/2017 21:59

I like it, but the only Brodie I have ever known was an obese alcoholic but loveable landlord!

SuperBeagle · 13/08/2017 21:57

Strongly dislike it for both sexes.

There's a girl named Brody/Brodie on Offspring, and she's a knocked up teenager with a permanent scowl. Suits the name.

DandySeaLioness · 13/08/2017 21:50

I've taught a girl called Brydie and a boy called Brodie.

Pallisers · 13/08/2017 21:47

only Brodie I've known was a girl - in the US.

Topseyt · 13/08/2017 21:45

Brodie is a boy's name. Definitely. I've never heard it used for a girl.

Does he mean Bridie?

Awandinmypocket · 13/08/2017 21:45

I taught a female Bridie? Don't know if that appeals to you. I have only known male Brodies.

Coconutspongexo · 13/08/2017 21:44

I know a few female Brodie's and a male Brody.
I neither like nor dislike the name, sorry im not much help
