Frankie, Frances or Francesca?

I adore this name but i'm not sure whether i should go with Francesca as i think she will get Cesca. Other option is Frances but i think it would probably get shortened to Fran, again don't like. Opinions and advice needed please

Francesca is nice i know a couple of female Frankies 2 adults i hate Frances sorry it just sounds so harsh

I don't like Frankie for a girl. I think Francesca is a lovely name, but like Frances too. I think with a long name like Francesca at some point it will get shortened. You can try to control it by choosing an abbreviation you like, but if you intend to use the full name, her friends will come up with something anyway!

I would go with Francesca nn Frankie...you can guide a nn to a certain extent. If she's only been called Frankie chances are that is the diminutive she will relate herself to. She may decide she wants to create her own identity within her peer group and become Cheska though, but by that age her name will just be 'her' and you probably won't mind as much x

I don't think you can ever stop nicknames tbh. DD's friend Francesca (gorgeous name) is mainly called that or Cesca by her mum but is Frankie to all her school friends. I like all of those variations, not keen on Frances.
