For a goat that family have just acquired.

My DC have been given the proud task of choosing the name.

We want something a bit, well, goaty and down to earth, but it has to be a "real name" (ie a human name).

DC1 wants a Viking name (I think inspired by the fact that Vikings and goats have horns and beards in common Grin).

Current front runners are Trudie and Helga, but we thought MN might come up with more ideas.

We haven't met the recipient of the name yet, but apparently she is mainly white with some chestnut brown speckles, and is very playful.

What about Gloria the goat

UterusUterusGhali · 11/08/2017 23:06

I read the title and immediately thought Brunhilda! Only came on to post that!

I sorta wanted to call DD that.

mathanxiety · 11/08/2017 22:56

I think I remember your thread n0ne.

(I really like Brunhild (and Brunhilde, and also Hilda) as a name for a girl.)

OublietteBravo · 11/08/2017 17:35

I was thinking about this thread on my journey home. I came to the conclusion that Kimberley should be a contender.

n0ne · 11/08/2017 16:33

Hilarious that Brunhilde keeps coming up! I posted a thread a couple of months back on Brunhild as a middle name for DC2!!!! I guess it suits a goat better Wink

Edna

Tofflewaffle · 11/08/2017 13:46

Marigold is my hypothetical future goat name.
Otherwise Gertrude, Mildred and Gretchen fit the bill

notangelinajolie · 11/08/2017 01:16

Claudia is the clunkiest name ever. Definitely would suit a feisty goat.

MercianQueen · 11/08/2017 01:13

It's a goat, therefore will always be known as "you utter bastard", regardless of its given name Wink

NoCureForLove · 11/08/2017 00:34

Clovis. Clovis the goat.

Ragnhilda would be 'Ray-nee-el-da'

Usually comes without the A on the end. The daughter of Erik Bloodaxe.
