Any opinions on the following names? A slightly eclectic (!) mix but I really don't know which way to go....

Rosalind

I don't mind common names but I don't like the really en vogue/fashionable ones.

Dw and I loved the name Maya a few years ago but by the time we had dd it became too popular and a bit 'faddie' so we're glad we didn't choose that.

Shame your husband said no to Luna as it is such a wonderful name, but it is becoming very common. Which isn't always a bad thing IMHO.

Out of your list I like Eliza the best. It's beautiful.

I like the name Ailissh i think its both elegant and easy to pronounce, baby girls can be given this name and is nothing short of a name that could be that of a princess!

Thanks everyone, this is so helpful. Karine I love the name so much - and everything it stands for - but I made the cardinal mistake of mentioning it to a few people in real life, probably people with old fashioned ideas, but it worried me. You've made me rethink though!

Love Rosalind. Juliet and Ivy are also lovely.
I actually really like Juniper, and you could use nn Juno.

Lyra - Not a fan. It makes me think of the word "liar", and I find it quite difficult to say; it's not a name that rolls off the tongue very easily in my accent (Australian). I also think she'd get mistakenly called Lara often.

Juniper - Not a fan. Don't like the "nip" sound.

Juliet - Love this. Gorgeous.

Rosalind - Not a fan. Seems very old to me, and like it would only belong on someone who was uptight.

Thea - Not a fan. Objectively there's nothing wrong with it though.

Ada - Prefer Ava, even though it's more popular.

Eva - Again, prefer Ava.

Rosie - Love this.

Willow - Not a fan. Makes me think of weeping willows, which is not exactly a positive association. Also think it'd be an unfortunate name on anyone who wasn't tall and willowy.

Ivy - Love this.

Eliza - Prefer Elizabeth. I find Eliza a lot harsher.

Seagreen My 9 month old DD is Juno, we have had mostly positive responses, the people who wrinkle their nose s are generally old ladies who stop to talk to us in shops!
For me the name is feisty, beautiful and rare but not made up. I love it. If you love it, consider it. We didn't tell anyone what name we were planning and just announced it (although I did warn my mum I wasn't sure our chosen name would be to her taste, in the event she said she loved it!). Once it is your child's name, people are a lot less likely to be rude about it!

I love Rosalind. Juno is a good name too, I know a teen one. Suits a girl/ teen/ woman well. If you like it use it. MN is just a few opinions!

Karine Juno is my absolute favourite name of all time but has been absolutely slated by everyone I've ever mentioned it to so I've given up....

I like Luna - but it just makes me think of Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter. I like Willow x

I like Lyra too but there's something off about it.
