Deborah? That spelling...not Debra, not to be shortened to Debbie (if possible - I know I can't control this with friends in the future, etc!!). Just Deborah?

It's my sister's name - she's in her fifties and it has never been shortened. She told me once that it means "bee". I like it because it suits her - quite a serious name for a baby I suppose, but they don't stay babies for long ....

We have a lovely little 4 year old Deborah at school. I remember thinking 'what a lovely name' and how nice it was to hear it again when she first started... Great choice!

Twas a name from my generation, I know many lovely Deborahs. However it will be Debs with nursery/school staff and definitely as soon as she's old enough to have a friendship group.
