I am 6 months pregnant, with a little girl.

Our surname starts with a 'H' and has an 'ie' ending. ( more of an 'ee' sound)

Since baby will be born in November, we were wondering about Holly.

But then she would have HH as initials and similar 'y/ie' sound at the end, making it rhyme, almost.

Is this a strange sounding name? I appreciate any advice on this.
Thanks

I'd associate Holly with a Christmas baby, not a November one.

Catherine for Catherine wheels?

I just thought November time of year will have holly trees, and that might be nice, to bring in the winter maybe?

I think it's nice!

I wanted Lucy for my little girl but my partner wouldn't let me as our surname also starts with L.

Do it!

Why does November suggest holly?

Some rhyming names can be nice imo. I think it works ok op if you like the name holly.

Bit too matchy matchy. It's very kids tv show character as said above.

Yes, very like Holly Harvie, but it's not actually that. How do you think that works? Or does it not work?

Bit children's cartoon character, sorry (though alliterating initials is no problem, and can be pretty cool)

You mean something like Holly Harvie?
