How should i spell this? going for the pronounciation Kye Ah. Thanks

Afuna, not yet will be between Kaia and Kaya though. I wouldn't want Kaya to get Kay... but can't decide which spelling i prefer

Kaya looks nicer, and it should be pronounced this way. A pp explained how this is a known African name.

People saying this should be said as kay -a to rhyme with layer are quite simply wrong. (Just like when they try to pronounce 'Maya' the same way).

Just remembered that Cindy Crawford has a daughter named Kaia. This spelling. I think that's why it seems more intuitive to me.

Don't mind Caia though.

I think you'll have a lot of people pronouncing it 'Kay ah' though if you go for the Kaya option, so it depends how much you care about that.

I have a Kaiya but had I chosen the spelling I would have chosen Kaya.
People seem to struggle with spelling it when I spell it out loud to them, it's the i and the y together.
On the plus side it is very very rarely mispronounced Smile

It's quite a common girls name in a couple of African countries and is spelled "kaya" ...if that's any help.

At first, I thought you wanted the "kay-a" pronunciation and I was going to suggest Kaya rather than Kaia, as Kaia to me is the name Kai with an -a sound on the end.

So, Kaia, or Kya. I like Kaia best.

I know a Kya pronounced Kye-ah.

I would pronounce Kaya and Kaia as kay-a.

So I would use Kya for the peobounciation you want.
