It's TWINS! Advice for names?

Hi there. I had my 6 week scan today and it turns out there's not just one in there! The doctor seems to think it's twins, bit I'll need to have a follow up scan to confirm. I've posted on here a few times about names for the little one(s) so sorry if I'm getting a bit tiring lol but I would really appreciate it if i could get your opinions on some of these names. We also have a 1 year old Leo. Obviously too early to see the genders of the babies yet.

Our girls names so far -

Aisling Eilidh (pronounced Ash-ling, Aye-lee)
Dearbhla (Dervla)
Eva Marie (Evamarie, or Eva-Marie / just Eva)
Róisín
Brianne/Brianna
Piper
Ivy
Selina

Our boy names so far -

Samuel Perry
Cooper Gray/Grant
Alexander Grant (Grant for my brother who died in January)

Kind of struggling with boys names I can't find any I like so far xx

I'd go for Sam and Ivy - nice to be all three letters: Leo, Sam and Ivy.
Maybe Samuel Grant and Ivy Aisling
For twin boys:
Sam and Max
Sam and Rex
Sam and Kit

I like Dervla, Roisin and Ivy best for girls and Alexander or Samuel for boys

I know, as I am Scottish. And everyone I know pronounces it Aye-lee. There are several pronunciations of it x

Eilidh is Scottish and it's pronounced A-lee, not eye-lee.

Nice mixture of names. Good, solid names and a few Irish and Scottish names in there as well. Sorry to hear about your brother OP that's terrible Flowers

Selina Roisin I like a lot actually! I know it's very early days I'm just so excited lol! Will have three children two and under when they're born it's going to be hectic. Bye bye sleep! Perry was my grandfather's name so that's where that comes from but prefer Grant xx

Another Cornish name, but so melodic - Elowen. It goes nicely with Aisling. Or even Eilidh (which I think is Scottish? Correct me if I'm wrong). I actually really like Eirlys too, which is Welsh. Sorry, going off on a tangent Grin

If you like Ivy what about Iris (meaning rainbow).

Boys names - Samuel and Alexander are fine (not my naming style but good, solid, inoffensive names). The reasons for using Grant are obviously very important too. Flowers
Have you considered any Irish boys names? I really like Daithi- Irish for David and meaning "beloved".

Don't go for Eva when you have so many other lovely choices, every other girl is a variation of Eva!

I'd split Aisling and Elidh and have those names for a girl and another Irish name for a boy; Eoghan?

If you are only six weeks you have a long time to think about names. I am 32 weeks pregnant with twin boys and I am no closer to choosing name 🙈 good luck!

I read that twin names tend to go well together if one starts with the last letter of the other. Not sure god true this is, but I did it unintentionally with my two before I'd read it!

Gosh I'm going to be massive. I was big as it it is with my DS, let alone two of them in there. Like a snake that swallowed a bowling ball xx

Rory and Alexander twin boys
Eva and Ivy twin girls
Or niamh and Oona Irish names not too hard to spell and sound good in English. Smile

Forgot to mention DH is Irish, so he suggested a few Irish names that's where they come from lol xx
