nighthorse that's funny - I have a Felix and if our 2nd DC had been a boy he would have been Casper!

LorelaiVictoriaGilmore · 09/07/2017 20:52

Why on earth would a child get bullied for being called Felix? What a bizarre thing to say! People have the oddest ideas!!

Hazandduck · 09/07/2017 20:28

I'm going to note down all the names on this thread, I love them all, even wankbadger! Lol. Pearl is on my girl list too :) @bendy

TBH I used to work with a Felix and he was a prick. I don't think he was like that due to his name though.

CecilyBlue · 09/07/2017 11:14

Felix and Fabian

BikeRunSki · 09/07/2017 11:02

I don't understand why a child called Felix is likely to be bullied? Thus has not been my experience either being at school with a Felix, or my dc being at school with a Felix.

IHaveCausedConfusionAndDelay · 09/07/2017 10:59

I know lovehoney! It's not as if she's considering naming her child Wankbadger or something. Felix is a perfectly lovely, acceptable name.

PopcornNRedwine · 09/07/2017 10:53

Asher
Maddoc/Maddox

BendydickCuminsnatch · 09/07/2017 10:48

'Chloe and Beans', a Youtuber/Instagram person I follow has 6 kids under 6: Evan, Otto, Felix, Rufus, Henry, Pearl - think all of those (except Pearl) have been mentioned on this thread, that's funny! I love her kids' names.

lovehoney69 · 09/07/2017 10:45

Felix and Otto or Felix and Oscar are both super cute 😊
Have stared at the "bullied for the name Felix" comment for ages. I think I need life explaining to me sometimes because I don't understand???? Does it mean something rude?Confused

MrsDarcy4092 · 09/07/2017 08:57

Thanks everyone! Some great suggestions.

I like George, Oscar, Isaac, Rupert, Otto, Monty, Albert, James and Arthur.

I think the further response from justdontgetitatall Says it all.

I have always thought that the people on here who trot out the old 'your child will be bullied' line are the ones that encourage their children to make snide comments.

I've have an unusual name. It's a slight variation of a fairly normal name and is linked to a certain character. I remember never being teased as such but had lots of kids make little comments comparing me to this character wit the same name. This was pre internet and there is no way these kids would have known about this character unless the parents had specifically told them.

A friend has a Felix and a Gus. They are gorgeous boys.

CocoLoco87 · 09/07/2017 00:57

I vote for Jasper! Or...

Oscar
Atticus
Benedict
Lucas
Rupert
Arthur
Rafferty

Ugh I hate the "child will get bullied" thing! It crops up so often in name discussions but honestly it tells me way more about the person suggesting it than it does about the child. Kids aren't bullied for their names, they are bullied for a million reasons, but can have the most ordinary name in the world and still get picked on.
Felix is a lovely name, I vote for Rufus too :)
I've had it before with names I love and it's such a pointless, mean thing to say!

I can read. I just wonder what you're basing the 'likely to get bullied' part on.

I have worked in schools for years and have never known a child to get bullied because of their name.

Plus, Felix is a perfectly acceptable name... in fact it's really nice!

I know two small Felixes who are both wonderful!

JustDontGetItAtAll · 09/07/2017 00:03

??? Can you not read?! I'm giving the OP an honest opinion. I'm not trying to be disrespectful. The OP is having twins? Wanting to call one Felix?

Shockers · 08/07/2017 23:32

Just, what on earth are you talking about??!

JustDontGetItAtAll · 08/07/2017 23:30

I mean this with the greatest of respect - PLEASE do NOT call a child Felix. Honestly not being nasty or mean but that child is likely to get bullied. It's awful but true. Sad

OliviaBonas · 08/07/2017 23:27

Rufus here too

Braveanddifferent · 08/07/2017 23:25

Monty
Oscar
Frank
Joel

Amee1992x · 08/07/2017 23:21
