Evamarie or Aisling?

Currently pregnant with baba number 2 and me and DH are are currently sifting through baby names. We have a 1 year old Leo, and we're only 5 weeks pregnant so still early days before we know the sex but if it's a boy we've settled on Sam, just need a girls name now! It's between Evamarie (one name) and Aisling, pronounced Ash-ling (DH is Irish). Really like both names but can't choose so some opinions could really help if possible. Brianne/Brianna isn't out of the mix either. Thank you xx

Well I always wondered where the g went to, but I'm not Irish or in Ireland so I never asked them, lol

Aisling definitely, and Elona sounds fine with it, though I've never heard the name before.

Also, the pronunciation of Eva Marie or Eva-Marie is clear to any English speaker, but "evamarie" looks like it should be pronounced differently.

Eva Marie is really nice (a la Eva Marie Saint) but Evamarie is weird and made up and not a name.

If you're after suggestions op, one of my absolute favourite Irish girl names is Ailis (can also be spelt Ailish).

Eilidh is really pretty! Just never knew how to pronounce it lol. Might consider that for a middle name now xx

We have an Aisling in our family - Ashie for short, which I like.

Love Eva, but not keen on Evamarie.

My middle name is Aisling. I do like it. Have you considered Ailish? I adore it and kind of wish I'd used it!

I've never met an Aisling that pronounced it like that, is it not ashleen?

Or I should it one of those names that's different in different parts of Ireland?

A similar name, is Elmarie.
