For a girl, is this as acceptable as Willow yet?

Nice.

Beelzebop · 06/07/2017 12:40

My great uncle was called Meadows

FartnissEverbeans · 06/07/2017 12:32

I think it's a beautiful name. I don't understand why people wouldn't like the sound - it's a lovely word.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 06/07/2017 11:50

I love it because of The Sopranos connectionGrin

MammieBear · 06/07/2017 11:48

If Bluebell can be used why not Meadow in my opinion. Wink

KoalaDownUnder · 06/07/2017 07:44

Nah. Not an attractive sound at all.

Alisvolatpropiis · 06/07/2017 07:41

I know one, must be about 3/4. Suits her but I was a bit Hmm when I first heard it.

hophop333 · 06/07/2017 05:20

I know anything can be a name, but Meadow?! Seriously? Why not Field, Grass or Tree?!

IHeartKingThistle · 06/07/2017 01:06

Love it.

Buntysoven · 06/07/2017 01:00

I have relatives in Nottingham and there is an area there called The Meadows which is nowhere near as pretty as it sounds. I wouldn't because of that

TealStar · 05/07/2017 22:31

Sorry, I meant to say it sounds like a noun, not a name. It's about as exciting as the word 'pylon'.

TealStar · 05/07/2017 22:30

To me it just sounds like a word, not a name. It's neither particularly pretty nor powerful-sounding, just a bit 'meh' to me.

SuperBeagle · 05/07/2017 22:28

I think it's really awful, honestly.

I don't like Willow either.

bridgetreilly · 05/07/2017 21:25

It's nowhere near as mainstream as Willow.

1lov3comps · 05/07/2017 20:56

My cousin has just had a baby girl called Meadow, has taken to calling her Meddy as a nickname. I'm a bit indifferent to Meadow but really don't like Meddy...

Sophronia · 05/07/2017 20:50

I dislike the sound, 'meddo'

Jooni · 05/07/2017 20:40

I don't like it personally but I don't see why it shouldn't be as acceptable as Willow.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 05/07/2017 20:38

I like it, it's lovely.😀

littlepooch · 05/07/2017 20:36

I quite like it. DH loves it because of the sopranos thing.

That's what puts me off a bit.

I love it

Helenluvsrob · 05/07/2017 20:33

Nice name. Watch the surname. It'll sound like an address if you are unlucky - lane , street, grove etc

elisa2502 · 05/07/2017 20:32

Nooooo it's a dogs name

Roughlyroughrough · 05/07/2017 20:30

I like it.
