Do you think, male or female?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Female. DD has a friend called Eden. Lovely name.

CotswoldStrife · 28/06/2017 21:49

I've heard of it as a male middle name (but think that was a surname IFSWIM) and I know a female with it as a first name.

Zampa · 28/06/2017 21:45

Is it just me thinking of Eden Hazard then? Obviously not as famous a footballer as I had thought ...

SuperBeagle · 28/06/2017 21:42

Female.

Strongly dislike it.

SunshineOutdoors · 28/06/2017 21:21

Unisex

indigox · 28/06/2017 21:18

Female.

PetalMettle · 28/06/2017 21:07

Yes another one who thought of Ibiza...
Would say girl if anything but it sounds quite stripper to me

garmsfresh · 28/06/2017 21:02

The only Eden in my radar is the nightclub , to me it be a bit like calling your kid Hacienda ..

chunk14 · 28/06/2017 20:52

I only know one Eden and they are male

DramaAlpaca · 28/06/2017 20:47

I see it as a feminine name.

Ipushedmygrannyaffabus · 28/06/2017 20:46

Female.

Then I'd think 'garden of....' And snigger.

MaryWortleyMontagu · 28/06/2017 20:44

Garden, followed by Anthony

(Sorry not really answering the question!)

Violetcharlotte · 28/06/2017 20:36

Female. I like it.

Chickydoo · 28/06/2017 20:30

I know a lovely dog called Eden
(female)

bridgetreilly · 28/06/2017 20:24

I know both male and female Edens. I don't really like it for either, personally.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 28/06/2017 20:22

Girl.

Strummerville · 28/06/2017 20:20

It's my dd's name, she's 12. I first heard it on a Ruth Rendell TV adaptation (A Dark Adapted Eye) when I was young, and thought it was beautiful, the sort of name I'd like to have (my name is "classic" / MN-approved and I've never liked it!)

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 28/06/2017 20:19

Female

HappyFlappy · 28/06/2017 20:13

There's an American Child Beauty Queen called Eden Something-or-Other.

She's very, very famous - has her own range of dolls etc. She looks a bit like a mini Mae West, with a slightly piggy nose.

HappyFlappy · 28/06/2017 20:11

female

EezerGoode · 28/06/2017 20:10

Ohhh for a boy...I'd not considered that..I suppose it could be..I mean we have Alex that's for both sexes and ..what else..I can't think..oh yeah billy..in my sons class at school there is billy boy and billy girl....my dc actually thought that was their names...not just billy...

PhilODox · 28/06/2017 20:09

It's fine... As long as your surname isn't Rifles!

EezerGoode · 28/06/2017 20:07

Beautiful name..lush...female ofcourse

flumpybear · 28/06/2017 20:07

Female. But it's a bit of a chavvy name ... sorry ... same vein as things like Raven, Storm, Rain, Summer, etc - not unique enough to be quirky, too many people have thought it to be a bit different that it's now become a bit xhavvy

MiniMaxi · 28/06/2017 20:06

Female
