Due in January so it's a surprise, do you like these names?

I live in quite a working class area so worried they might be bullied, although hopefully sould be moving before starting school.

And what else might I like?

Not as keen sorry ... not sure why.

We love the name Wilfred and actually used it for our beloved Border Terrier. We have 2 girls but my perfect boys name of all time is Arthur. Maybe you like it too OP?

figandvanillacandle · 26/06/2017 07:10

Well, obviously I can, because I like the name!

I'm not as keen as William for some reason, and people tend to say Will-yum here.

Joyce and Mo and Bert aren't really my style. Grin

I also like Charlotte for a girl but I'm struggling with boys.

Wilfred is AWFUL. Please don't do that to a child.
Could you imagine meeting (an adult) someone tomorrow who shook your hand and said "nice to meet you, I'm Wilfred". Arghhhhhh

Flora, on the other hand, is gorgeous.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 26/06/2017 03:12

Love Flora
Hate Wilfred

reuset · 26/06/2017 02:14

Yes, both sound fine to me.

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 26/06/2017 01:08

I think Flora is gorgeous Smile Wilfred sounds nice, but I really hate Wilf as a shortened version and it would probably get used a lot.

Sophronia · 26/06/2017 00:49

Like both a lot.

notangelinajolie · 26/06/2017 00:09

Adore Wilfred. Flora is awful.

adifferentnameforthis · 26/06/2017 00:09

I love flora but it is the name of margarine

Jaytee38 · 25/06/2017 23:58

I love flora . I had a great aunty Flo (no jokes ta) but she was florabella.

clevername · 25/06/2017 23:53

I love both. A lot.
Wilfred is top of my list if my impending 2nd born (due August) is a boy.
Flora would be up there for a girl if it hadn't already been taken by someone in the family.

HillaryWinshaw · 25/06/2017 23:43

Sorry OP, I dislike Flora and hate Wilfred.

MrsTerryPratchett · 25/06/2017 23:42

They do sound like very studiously old-fashioned names. Like you've gone out of your way to have the most old-fashioned you can.

So:

Bert
Ivy
Mo
Joyce

That style of thing?

Buntysoven · 25/06/2017 23:41

Love both names especially Wilf(red)

bloated1977 · 25/06/2017 23:38

Flora is nice although she might be called Flo so as long as you're happy with that shortening. Wilfred...Sorry but definitely not. Will or William are much better.
