Hey! Already have a little boy, he's 5!

Expecting twin girls in October & toying with names we like but need oppnions as our family don't know the genders πŸ™ˆ

We really like Everly & Spencer, but we just aren't set and want something that jumps out at us. Not too matchy they aren't identical.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
MommaGee · 21/06/2017 15:52

I cross posted. Ivy and Everly are cute

Girlwhowearsglasses · 21/06/2017 15:52

On a slightly off thread note OP - if you're having two girls you can't find out if they are identical or not until they're born. I have ID boys, they had their own placenta etc - but we did the DNA test ( as well as it being obvious when they were born) and they are identical. It's to do with when the egg split - it it split before placentas formed they have their own placentas. You still find many medical professionals who don't know this either...

It's important for the twins to know because it is part of their identity and also for medical reasons if one gets a genetic condition.

Those sound so sweet Amee! And unique with the middle names x

Amee1992x · 21/06/2017 15:44

Wasn't hoping for anything other than healthy babies 😊.

Our dogs called Avery.

Spencer is bad enough as a boys name. Don't do it to a girl!!
Sawyer and Parker too.

I'd assume you were hoping for a boy.

Everly is cute.
Avery and Everly too matchy?

Amee1992x · 21/06/2017 15:38

The Everly Brothers
The Spencer Davis Group

April241 · 21/06/2017 14:59

Spencer is a girls name to me but that's probably from reading Pretty Little Liars years ago and Spencer Hastings is one of the main characters

harderandharder2breathe · 21/06/2017 14:52

I've only ever heard Everly on MN but have warmed to it actually

I think Spencer isn't a great name for a boy and is awful for a girl

Harley
Eden
Taylor
Mackenzie
Thea

LittleLostRoeDeer · 21/06/2017 14:32

Corliss? Totally outs me, but we chose this for our daughter as it was unusual, easy to pronounce and has a good meaning: happy and joyful.

Amee1992x · 21/06/2017 13:52

I think we are pretty set on everly, all the other names I like tend to sound boyish as well and I don't know why it's what stands out πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ Someone will suggest something here and it'll stand out I have a list to show my other half when he's home from work ☺️

Amee1992x · 21/06/2017 13:50

Your probably right sidione I might not want them being matchy but I don't want them to sound like they have girl-boy names, if they are anything like my little boy they will be bald till they are about 2 😭

Lovely choice of middle names

NuffSaidSam · 21/06/2017 13:49

Spencer is a fairly common surname. Have a look in a phone book (if they still exist).

As a first name it is very much a boys name. It would be like calling a boy Sarah.

Everly is also a surname, but does work better a first name. It's like a cross between Beverly and Evelyn.

Other boys names/surnames that could work for girls:

Blake
Brooke
Harper
Piper
Quinn
Taylor
Ashton
Robyn
Georgie
Charlie
Alex(andra)
Ellison
Dawson
Marley/Mali
Darcie
Elliot
Cameron
Reece

Amee1992x · 21/06/2017 13:48

They won't be first names, my other half hates Ottilie im lucky it'll even be a middle name every pronounces it wrong 😀! & our dog is called Avery πŸ˜‚.

And I wouldn't mind growing up with the name spencer, my names Amy and my mother spelled it Amee πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

Everly is lovely - it's different and feminine. Am not so keen on Spencer for a boy or girl, but if you love it, go for it. I think Everly sounds great with Harper or Parker.

Alittlepotofrosie · 21/06/2017 13:46

I think evelyn and harper are good choices in the vein of everly and Spencer.

Would you have liked to grow up with the name spencer as a girl? Hmm

ThanksMsMay · 21/06/2017 13:46

I'd use those as first names!

BewareOfTheToddler · 21/06/2017 13:44

I think Avery is nicer than Everly, personally.

How about Avery and Romilly? Both can be surnames, both are pretty.

Harper is very cool!

I know a little Mackenzie and it really suits her. Madison is also a surname-type name which is obviously for a girl.

Amee1992x · 21/06/2017 13:43

She does I really like sawyer πŸ’•!

Their middle names will be Ottilie and Genevieve after my godmother and my husbands great grandmother.

Muumi3 has some lovely suggestions!

Muumi3 · 21/06/2017 13:36

My first thought was Diana Spencer.
