Hey! Already have a little boy, he's 5!

Expecting twin girls in October & toying with names we like but need oppnions as our family don't know the genders πŸ™ˆ

We really like Everly & Spencer, but we just aren't set and want something that jumps out at us. Not too matchy they aren't identical.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Amee1992x · 22/06/2017 14:25

Nongodess if I could their middle names would be their first but my other half is soooo against! I'm rooting for Everly and Ottilie but if I can't have Ottilie he loves Spencer! We might change our minds I can't remember how many times I thought I'd decided on Other names for Layton he was a "definite" Kyle for a couple of months before he was born lol

Oh, I love Everly and Spencer! How unusual. And such pretty middle names too with family connections. I don't get why people are being so down on them? I think just because they are quite out of the ordinary. Go for it!

Amee1992x · 22/06/2017 14:13

A majority of people I don't know? This isn't about bashing people. It's our choice and our child im sure many of times across this site people have went against the comments made. It's a personal choice not a group task πŸ˜‚

People normally just ask how to spell it as there's many variations, it's never once caused me an issue.

Of course everyone has an opinion, but when the majority vote against a name in this way I think you would be very self-centred to ignore it. IT WON'T BE YOUR NAME!

Also, you're seriously telling me you haven't spent a lifetime spelling out your name? Everyone has always got it right first time?

Amee1992x · 22/06/2017 13:58

We weren't, we were pretty dead set of Everly because we have never met another. We just wanted suggestions some have been really great but my other half just doesn't wanna budge he loves Spencer they are the names we have been toying with for a few weeks. We are pretty dead set for now anyway, everyone will always have an oppnion. Who knows we might see the girls and they might just not look like an Everly or a Spencer πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ I'm secretly hoping he falls in love with Ottilie πŸ˜‚We will see 😊

Iv never said I was putting up with my name I said my names Amy and my mother spelled it Amee, I also commented it was boring because my name is boring πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ Iv never had to explain my name πŸ˜‚. Either way that's their names, I wasn't looking to be put off our names I was just looking for opnions and other ideas, we have decided that's their names can't please everyone 😊

OP posts:
RiverTam · 22/06/2017 13:46

You said you had to put up with Amee. Well, now you'll make your daughter put up with Spencer. Really, please don't do it. Change your own name to Spencer if you like, but you are committing her to a lifetime of explanations which will wear thin very quickly. I say this as someone who has a different spelling of my middle name, and that's pain in the arse enough.

I prefer Sailor to Spencer for a girl, OP.

Blake?

Amee1992x · 22/06/2017 13:18

Thanks everyone for your suggestions but I think the twins will just be Everly Genevieve & Spencer Ottilie πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ It's what we thought when we new they were girls, they were our choose names & after a few arguments with the other half this morning, he doesn't want to be put off Spencer because others don't like, and I kinda of agree. So for now that's their names 😊

Amee1992x · 22/06/2017 11:33

I really like Ever too, I think that'll be her nickname to be honest! Liberty sounds so silly with my strong Scottish accent 😭😭

OP posts:
Mrsknackered · 22/06/2017 11:14

I like Everly.
I also like Ever.

What about:
Mika
Liberty
Rae
Violet
Reese

BunsForTea · 22/06/2017 10:50

What Girlwhowearsglasses said - docs told us our DD were fraternal because 2 sacs and 2 placentas ("lambda sign" visible on scans?) and in fact they're identical and like peas in a pod!

Amee1992x · 22/06/2017 10:35

Already stated that my husband won't let me use then as first names that's why they are middle names πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ. Thanks for your suggestions ladies seeing names I'd never think of x

Everly and Sloane
Everly and Piper
Everly and Harlow
Everly and Marlowe
Everly and Coralie
Everly and Aveline
Everly and Erika
Everly and Ainsley

Congratulations on your twins!

buttercup54321 · 21/06/2017 23:51

Use the middle names as first names. They are much better than your other suggestions!!

That's a lovely idea Leanne! My husband and I both have very boring surnames πŸ˜‚ I just want them to be their own little people weather they choose to be the same or not I don't know why but it's just something that I thought abou as soon as I new we were having twins

OP posts:
Alittlepotofrosie · 21/06/2017 22:23

I think you're definitely right to make sure your twins have their own identity op. Speaking from experience!

leannejade · 21/06/2017 22:21

I bet! They'll have an amazing friendship with a doting big brother (who I'm sure when he gets a little bit older will all drive each other mad!).
Really like the names you suggested, I wouldn't be deterred by them being classed as surnames (although I have considered giving my boy my surname when he's born as he's taking my fiancΓ©'s for his surname!)

chelseapritch · 21/06/2017 22:21

I really don't like Spencer, it is a boy name

I like twin names that are alike. My twin sister's are called

Lilly and Ellie

Think they're just bwautoful, they're also fraternal twins.

Amee1992x · 21/06/2017 22:10

Yeah Leanne I'm not worried about them being matchy I want them to be their own person, I haven't even bought matching outfits either just corrdinates πŸ™ˆ! I'm excited for twin life πŸ’•πŸ’•

Sorry, but Everly and Ivy together makes me think of the song 'Ebony and Ivory...together in perfect harmony... 🎼'
