Opinions on Arla?

Why do I seem so attracted to dairy brands as names....

I like Arla, a lot, have just thought of it today, and OH surprisingly liked it too.

I also like Flora an awful lot, and OH likes it but is put off as it's very s

Flora is such a pretty name, but my best friend was once nicknamed Flora at work after she had an affair with her boss by some cruel swines so it's possibly one to bear in mind could have unpleasant connotations when she's older.

You are right; we find out the gender tomorrow, if baby is a girl and OH afrees then Evie she shall be :)

I can't see why you having a similar but different middle name is a problem at all. Call her Evie!

My God daughter just named her Dd Harla.

Lots of people comment on the unusual name but Arla dairy hasn't caught on yet.

I've gone off it now!

I don't like the similar sounding names either, but do still like Flora :)

I love Evie very much, but Eva is my middle name!

I don't like Arla at all as I only know it as a dairy brand. Is it really a name? Am I living in a bubble? Similar sound to girls' names I don't much like such as Carla or Darla. I don't see the attraction.

Flora on the other hand has lots of provenance as a strong girl's name centuries before it was slapped on margarine tubs. I definitely think little girl before spread nowadays. Fabulous name.
