YES - nice name, and totally underused. Not sure on Gerrie spelt like that. Would prefer Geri I think.

It sounds like the name of some Clarks shoes.

And I'm generally not keen on girls' names that are a man's name with something added on the end. My own name is an example! As is Nigella Lawson's.

I think I'm convincing her (nicely) it's that and no other options as it's aunts name.

Do I think Genevieve is lovely, but not an option.

I think she's over it.

Grin sorry. I also think she was very fond of Jerry if that helps. However, Jerry would so have had a thing with Barbara if she'd been up for it.

elQuinto he was a Jerry, was he not? And I always thought Mrs Leadbetter was a Margot (hence my username Wink). Love the programme too.

I actually quite like Geraldine.

The woman is called Margo.

I have a very soft spot for the show and the characters, and love both their names.

Geraldine could have the nickname Dina if the child wanted it.

I'm another who is not keen on the name. Always think of a Geraldine as a divorced bitchy, snobby woman in her 50s. Apologies to any Geraldines out there.

I know a Jerry. Just Jerry and I like it. Geraldine I'm not so keen on. There is Gerardine, as in Mrs Hemingway.

Still saying no to her!! It's fine as a middle name (bit long??).

But maybe with a short first name?
