It's fine. It's miles better than all the old lady names that are fashionable at the moment, and it's not cutesy or twee. So it's a yes from me.

I'm not mad about it, but that may be because I know a few from my own generation. Not that they're horrible people or anything, just hard to imagine it on a child.

I don't think it's particularly dated, I just think it's never been hugely popular, but yes, I like it. In fact, I wish I'd thought of it myself now!

We'd have considered it for DD, but there's already one in the family, and it was easier to entirely rule out names of family members rather than get into an argument about favouritism!

I love it but am biased as named dd it!! though shes a stephie to nearly everyone. I love all the 60s/70s American sounding names like judy, jane, Penelope etc.. I alos like individual names and have yet to meet another kid called Stephanie.

I realise this puts me in a small minority of MNers who've actually seen this
