I like strong punchy girls' names.

So:

Rosa
Nina
Nancy
Aphra
Frieda
Margaret

Surprised at all the positivity for Nina here, I was teased no end for having that as a name growing up and as a result can't stand it! I also wouldn't describe it as 'punchy'.

Nancy is also really not strong and punchy at all, conversely it actually sounds very flouncy, it is a nice name though!

V true Ohyes. What do you think is strong and punchy.

I think for me that I associate these names with strong and punchy women like Nina Simone, Rosa Parkes, Frieda Kahlo, Aphra Behn, Nancy Drew (ha ha!)... and oddly my grandmother who was a female surgeon called Margaret.

I love aphra.
Wouldn't describe some of these as strong or punchy though, everyone will see them differently.

Rosa and Nina are gorgeous. Aphra is nice and unusual too.

Frieda is OK.
Margaret and Nancy are both quite stodgy and middle-aged sounding.
