It's quite nice and a classic name, not as much used as a few years ago as a PP says.

Samuel reminds me of mules so I prefer Samson as full name.

Prefer it as a nickname for Samuel personally but that's my opinion, go for whew to ever you really like it doesn't matter what anyone else else thinks.

For me, it's boring. So many in my age group. Everyone was called Ben, Sam or Joe.
I do really like Samuel though.

I love Sam. I have one who is nearly 30 and have never regretted it.

I have a teenage Sam and he's lovely - biased as I obviously am!! It's short for Samuel as my ExH didn't want to use Sam as a name in its own right although I did.

Mine is short for Samuel just in case he's prime minister one day and Sammy whilst he's a baby. Love it and as a PP said there doesn't seem to be many around

I have a Sam. He's fabulous (obviously), and loves his name (he's nearly 8 now). Funnily enough, we've never met another one!
