I know a 21 year old Richard. No nicknames, he's just Richard

I like it and know a few; Richie, Dick and Richard all in their 40s to 60s and one pleasant 12yo Richard.

I think it's classic. I don't know any Richards who go by Dick these days, so get shortened to Rich.

I like it - it's a good, solid name. I think of dependable gentlemen when I hear it.

I think it'll make a refreshing change from Arthur, Alfie etc, which are lovely, but very popular.

My BIL calls himself Dickie, to the in laws' great annoyance. I know a couple of other Richards who go by Richie or Rick(y) though.

I know a baby Richard, I thought it was a bit old fashioned when I first heard it but now it suits him.

Love it. It's a well used name in my family, and my husband's, and had it not been my brother's name I would have had it very high on my list, and probably used it myself.

We were talking about this the other day, funnily enough! I like it. It's classic and rather smart (without being an "old man's name")....and very unusual these days.
