Thought on the name Austin.
Any suggestions similar would be also great too. Thanks.

I think it's deceptively popular. There are two in my DD's class.

MineKraftCheese · 28/05/2017 20:15

I prefer "Austen" as a spelling/pronunciation, like Jane. Austin makes me think of Stone Cold (wrestler Steve Austin).

austenozzy · 28/05/2017 20:15

Then you'd be spelling it correctly, wolfie!

Wolfiefan · 28/05/2017 20:13

I would probably misspell it as Austen!

CowParsleyNettle · 28/05/2017 20:12

I like it, I know a couple of adult ones.

chocoraisin · 28/05/2017 20:10

I have one :) he's known as Oz or Austin. Love it still. Second on the list was Ashton. Austin felt more British, but both are popular in America.

DramaAlpaca · 28/05/2017 20:07

I like it a lot.

Whatslovegottodo · 28/05/2017 20:07

I think of Texas. Far worse cities.
I like the name.

SavoyCabbage · 28/05/2017 20:06

Very popular in the land down under as it gives the cracking nickname of 'Aussie'.

Outbackshack · 28/05/2017 20:06

Love it. Have it! However we thought it really unusual and heard of at least another 5 children with it already

givemethecake · 28/05/2017 20:06

Haha, thank you for all your comments! I was really expecting everyone to say it was horrible. It's one of the only names that me and OH both agree on at the moment so it's looking likely. Thanks x

I think it's an amazing name but I might be a tiny big biased!

WallisFrizz · 28/05/2017 20:01

I like Austin, I know one aged 5. It suits him, unusual but raises no eyebrows. Go for it if you like it.
