Arthur sounds like a gentle, loving, hardworking person

It's my DF's name and that's exactly who he is!
When they met and he told my DM his name, she told him to stop joking.
Had I another son, that would have been his name.

He is quite an old man now, but still alive and kicking!

Alexander is done to death, Arthur it's a old man's name, Felix is a cat.

My ds is Felix. We chose it because I love it's meaning - happy or lucky. I also think it hits a perfect balance between a name that has been around for centuries and is still a bit fun and quirky.

We clearly like the same sort of names as one of ds's middle names is Arthur!

Luke is my favourite, thinking of using if dc2 is a boy. Felix is second. Arthur and Alexander joint last. For me Alexander is way too fussy and snooty. Arthur is too much of an old man name I think.

Alexander, then Luke. Don't like Felix as it's so strongly associated in my head with cats. Arthur is not great although I like Arty.

I like Arthur, Alexander and Felix equally.

Not keen on Luke, although I love the French version Luc (I live in France). Not sure why though. I also like Lucien or Lucian.

Definitely Felix for me. Not keen on Luke but I know two boys called Luca and both are lovely. Alexander is always going to be Alex. Arthur would be my second choice of the four.
