Is Mira (pronounced Meer-ra) too close to Mila (pronounced Mil-la)? They will be cousins (not siblings), just gathering opinions before we contemplate asking SIL!

OP posts:

I really didn't think of Myra. I know a Mira and she's lovely.

I'd go for it.

Notmyrealname85 · 23/05/2017 01:59

If you're in the uk you'll have people associate it with Myra hindley in afraid. Mila would be safer as different sound

YouWhatMate · 23/05/2017 01:52

No I do not think it's too close to Mila if it's just a cousin.

Nice name, OP.

mammmamia · 22/05/2017 23:57

BikeRunSki · 22/05/2017 23:57

muffinwaggon · 22/05/2017 23:37

I know it's not spelt the same before anyone points out my comment 😂 but that's what I instantly thought when I looked.

ProseccoBitch · 22/05/2017 23:36

Waves at @muffinwaggon Smile

HerRoyalFattyness · 22/05/2017 23:36

I like Mira.

ProseccoBitch · 22/05/2017 23:36

Personally I'd say it's too similar to Myra (as in Hindley) but that might be my age talking.

muffinwaggon · 22/05/2017 23:35

Hindley

BridgetDarcy · 22/05/2017 23:34

I saw it and assumed it was pronounced Myra.....

Buntysoven · 22/05/2017 23:31
