We have managed to get our girls name list down to the final 4. What are your thoughts?

Georgia
Amelia
Charlotte
Elle

Charlotte. The most classy and timeless in its entirety. Dislike Lottie intensely though as a nn.
Too many Amelia's who then become Millie's. Elle too similar to Ellie and Ella which are extremely popular.
Georgia is in a different vein altogether. It's too clunky and is a bit of a mouthful to pronounce, although Georgina is lovely.
How about Louisa?

I know there were royal Charlottes before the current little princess one. Could have knocked me down with a feather when they revealed the name of the baby. Yep, while it may have been regal and distinctive once, it's not now, to me. Clearly, most people don't agree. My feeling about the name isn't logical. It just has a similar feel/sound to Charlene, Cheryl, Cheyenne, Sharon, etc, which I also don't like.

We should have had a ruling Queen Charlotte. Princess Charlotte was the only child and heir of George IV, but she died young in childbirth. Had she lived, we probably wouldn't have got Queen Victoria.

There has been one Queen Charlotte and several princesses. Not really getting a 'downmarket' vibe. Charlene, yes.

I'm not keen on any of them, really. Amelia is two a penny these days. Georgia is OK, quite '90s (I know loads who are about 18). I particularly dislike Charlotte - the name of a tart/pie - seems a bit downmarket to me (despite the royal association). Elle is the best, but I find it a bit...short.

Really like Charlotte and Georgia (or Georgina?).
Amelia is quite nice, but too popular at the moment I would say. I prefer Amelie or Emily.

Elle - like others say, just the French for 'she'. Plus, some people pronounce as Ellie, which seems wrong and annoying. Ella would be better.

Amelia is lovely but too popular imo.

(Elle is a bit boring and I personally honestly dislike Georgia.)

Love Charlotte!

Don't really like the others... Elle is ok (pronounced like the letter L)? I have heard Elle pronounced Ellie, which I'm not keen on.

Definitely Charlotte! I love George for a boy but not keen on the female variations...Elle for me seems unfinished and Amelia a bit meh...

Elle is lovely and I don't know any children called it , not keen on Charlotte or Georgia, Amelia is nice but getting very popular

Amelia is very overused. I much, much prefer Emilia, that's lovely.

Elle is a bit nothing. And a magazine!

Charlotte is lovely, great for nicknames Charlie/Lottie/Lotta.

Georgia is nice, but agree with the poster that Georgina is a nicer version.
