I do know a little girl called Aberdeen whose brother is Galway.

I don't like the fashion of using place names for children. But those are especially bad (imo!)

I really hope you are making that up Caoraich Grin. If I was them I'd have gone for river names Corrib and Dee!

Skibbereen is quite scenic, I believe... And won't raise many more eyebrows than Dublin.

Boy, but it's an absolutely awful name. And if I encountered a child with that name I'd definitely wonder whether he was saddled with it because of that stupid trend of naming a child after where they were conceived, which is far TMI in my opinion.

I'd assume a child named Dublin was an American girl whose parents grandparents x 5 were Irish immigrants and the parents really want everyone to know this.

Their parents can be semi-forgiven as they're Australian and met while backpacking around Europe Confused

I can't separate it from the city in my head.

I wouldn't have any idea whether it was a boy or a girl either.

It's not to my taste but no worse than Chelsea, Brooklyn, Siena, Lourdes etc I suppose
