June.

ILookedintheWater · 16/05/2017 13:00

@Joeybee You are actually @CoralieConfused 's DH aren't you?

mathanxiety · 16/05/2017 01:46

I can see 'Rosamund and Tamar' too..

They sound like names from an opera. (This wouldn't put me off in the slightest and hopefully I haven't killed them for you.)

AbernathysFringe · 16/05/2017 00:04

Alternately - Juno? Jubilee?

I like Violetta and Constance but Jane only as a middle really.
I do like Juniper because I like the Italian form Ginevra.

Joeybee · 15/05/2017 23:29

Jane, Violetta and Constance OMG they are stunning names.
Juniper is nice, but a bit too hippy-ish for me.
Don't like Lilias at all, Lily or Lilian are nice imo.

ArseyTussle · 15/05/2017 17:25

Just to be clear, those are all excellent attributes. Grin

ArseyTussle · 15/05/2017 17:24

Tamar is quite viola player-ish I'd say. I see an elegant long neck and a tendency towards long swishy skirts.

CoralieConfused · 15/05/2017 11:50

2 syllable last name beginning with B.

Tamar has quite a different feel to our other ideas I think. I can imagine sisters called Rosamund and Tamar though (jumping the gun a bit Grin)

Ooh, I like Tamar too. How many syllables is the surname?

mathanxiety · 15/05/2017 00:16

I love Lilias too. Tamar is unusual and beautiful.

Alexandra87 · 14/05/2017 23:40

I love Lilias.

user1464648036 · 14/05/2017 22:48

Pulled in by Juniper. My dog is called Juniper because, Gin. She's lovely.

FizzyGreenWater · 14/05/2017 22:41

You need triplets

Laurel, Sorrel, and Johnny Borrell

CoralieConfused · 14/05/2017 14:49

Ro-an is definitely not the standard pronounciation here in Scotland - sounds fine though. Dp is away at the moment so no opportunities to badger him directly about names, but we did both agree that Rosamund is beautiful!

Going biblical, we also both like Tamar...
I can't let Lilias go though

Has anyone suggested Rosamund (Rose of the World)
I have a dgd Constance (Connie) so I love the name.

CricketRuntAndRashers · 14/05/2017 09:58

I like Juniper Jane, sounds like a marvel character and has a good rhythm to it.

Very true. Juniper Jane is great!

BertrandRussell · 14/05/2017 09:41

Well, unless you're Scottish- in which case the Row can be as "making a....."

mathanxiety · 14/05/2017 02:33

The row in rowan rhymes with no, like the rowan tree.

Rowen, Rowena - both the same 'no' sound. Rowan Atkinson is famous enough to make that pronunciation standard.

SuperFlyHigh · 13/05/2017 16:31

doobus Cadence can be shortened to Caddy which is nice.

I used to work with a woman called Stevie and thought it was a lovely name.

SuperFlyHigh · 13/05/2017 16:30

Now you say it OP it sounds fine the way you say it, just I guess I'm used to hearing it said the Southern way!

CoralieConfused · 12/05/2017 14:25

I would pronounce the Row in Rowan to rhyme with Now as well.

This ^^^

TheGirlOnTheLanding · 12/05/2017 12:31

@SuperFlyHigh as it often is, it's a regional thing I think. I'm West of Scotland and had only ever heard it pronounced the way I do until Rowan Atkinson was on TV, both for tree and name.

Doobus · 12/05/2017 10:48

I like January and Constance. The others are possibly nice, but I can't quite decide (sorry!). Not keen on Juniper as it reminds me of the dinosaur in the film Walking with Dinosaurs, but that's just me Grin

Other suggestions:

Frances, Stevie, Cadence, Primrose

WildCherryBlossom · 12/05/2017 10:34

Juniper Jane is great!
