Amara Alexandra Olivia Grace Salome

Taking myself away from current terrible situation, which name is your favourite, I am leaning towards to Amara it means grace I'm my language. Alexandra whilst a lovely name means defender of men which I may be childish but not too keen on men right now.

Alexander means defender of mankind.

So in my book that means Alexandra means defender of womankind.

My favourites are Amara and Salome they are both lovely.

I wouldn't personally use Amara Alexandra, Amara Christina is nicer and as Christina is your grandmother's name it has an extra meaning to it.

I wouldn't let the Italian meaning put you off! A quick google told me it means comfort in Mongolian- also positive. That said I don't think name meanings matter all that much.

Yes I just checked it's apparently a derivative of Mary so also means bitter. I guess it means different things in different languages.

Depends on the language you're speaking, OP. But I understand that the name means something very positive to you and it does sound lovely imo.

I really like Salome, Alexandra and Olivia.

Yes Salome bring me the head of John Baptist didn't think of that. It does sound nice though

Amara reminds me of amaretto. Or amaro/a (which means bitter in Italian).

Alexandra is really lovely. I also like Olivia.

We have an Amara in our family. I've never heard it used before, or since. Beautiful!
