Incorporating lynn

glasshalfsomething · 03/05/2017 18:56

As a tribute to a family member, we'd like to bring Lynn ( one n, two n, e or no e all acceptable) is as a middle name OR as part of a first name. The latter appeals to me if I can find the right first name.

Like Evelyn or Madelyn.

Any other suggestions on how we can incorporate?

Adalyn
Kaitlyn

Or any name would work with Lynn as a middle name which would give you loads more options

Thanks, I forgot about Caitlyn!

I do like Evelyn, but then it's the debate of ev- or eve- when pronouncing.

I've a difficult name and don't want to have to always tell people how we pronounce.

Should have also said, we don't know sex of this baby, so 50% this name may be saved for another time!

Does it need the y?
Belinda works.

Does it need the n? Lydia is beautifully different yet close

I was going to be either a Jacquelin, Marilyn or Carolyn as my parents wanted Lyn(ne) but it wouldn't work with our surname.

Lyndall -- unisex and some pretty cool literary antecedents?

MikeUniformMike · 03/05/2017 21:31

I know a couple of male Lynns but still think it's a girl's name.
Linton? Like the name Lynn/Lyn/Lynne though.

Ashlynn
Caitlyn
Evelyn (although I would pronounce it Eve - Lynn rather than Ev-Lyn. The Eve sound sounds better in my NE accent)

Im *alyn, but its very outing so cant tell Grin

mummabearfoyrbabybears · 03/05/2017 21:56

I know an Evelyn (pronounced ever-Lyn) and her family all call her Ever. I think that's really cute. Better than my son who's name rhymes with 'Flopsy' and that's stuck Blush

QuietNameChange · 03/05/2017 22:45

Rosylin, Adalyn, Emmalynn, Avalynn, Carolyn, Elynn, Glynn, Gracelynn, Marilyn, Aislinn.

I personally like Roslyn and Lynnette.
