Gregor seems German to me personally ;)

I personally prefer Gregory (to Gregor and Jonah) but think Gregor would work very well in the UK as well.

Jonah is fine. But I really prefer Gregor and Gregory to Jonah.

Thank you all - afraid Gregor seems very Scottish and much as I would love to be I am not...

I have a one year old Gregory. I loved the name because I like classic names too and it isn't as popular as the others I liked, Alexander for example.

We don't have Greggs here so nobody makes that association but I don't get many people saying oh that's a really nice name haven't heard it in ages, everyone is a bit 'meh' about it.

We call him Greg and Greggy. I still love it and its meaning though.

Gregory is a beautiful name, classic, classy and underused but Greg is a bit nah.

I'm not a huge fan of Gregory, but I've never met a Greg I didn't fancy a bit like. It's a proper man's name in my book.
