Like posh names, here's my list, what else should make the cut?

Hi all,

Baby due in 6 weeks and we are stuck for names. I think it's compounded by the fact that ds1 didn't look anything like his planned name and ended up with something way down our short list - suits him perfectly though! He is a Freddie. We have a short, strong surname so first/middle names can afford to be a bit longer but anyway, here is my short list so far. What am I missing and do you have any favourites or good combinations? We'd like 2 middle names.

Octavia (Tavi/Occy)
Ottilie (Ottie)
Genevieve (Evie)
Beatrix (Bea)
Xanthe
Violet

Archibald (Archie)
Theodore (Theo)
Bertram (Bertie)
Ludo
Barnaby
Henry
Sebastian
Milo

Violet, Sebastian, Henry and Theo are pretty run of the mill names now, IME. Definitely not distinguishingly "posh".

Having said that, the poshest person I know is called Philip; but also Peregrine, Alexander, Benedict, Timothy and Rupert in my vaguely posh friends and acquaintances. Their wives, daughters, sisters etc are Judith, Camila, Corinne, Celia, Julia and Moira.

The only ones I would consider are Violet, Genevieve, Theo and Henry. Many of the others I find a bit toe curling, sorry!

The poshest people I know (and I mean upper class, mates with the queen type people) have very 'normal' names. Simon is the name of the guy. Why do you consider the names you've listed 'posh'?
