Getting baby registered this morning eek! Which name to go for? We like both equally so happy to go with either.

I never really liked the name Joel but then I met a baby Joel recently and thought it was a fab name for him! I like Toby too but it's much more popular - depends if that bothers you or not.

ManInYourClothes · 02/05/2017 08:56

Tbh I do prefer Joel but sometimes have a hard time saying it and I over pronounce the L.. hopefully this will rectify over time. Didn't know Toby was getting popular that does bother me slighty thanks. Looking most likely he'll be little Joel.

Joel. It's lovely but uncommon now whereas Toby's are 10 a penny and I dislike it. Also many people know dogs called Toby

Joel is handsome in an understated way

ManInYourClothes · 02/05/2017 09:01

Had no idea Toby was that popular now glad I made this post thanks. Ok definatly going with Joel :)

Pronounced with a 'j' or a 'y'? Either way, Joel.

I really like Toby. Both are nice, but I prefer Toby.

Susiethetortoiseshellcat · 02/05/2017 13:01

Did you go with Joel? I love that name. Also scope for cute nicknames like Joey and Jojo.

Sophronia · 02/05/2017 16:00

Definitely Joel.

TakeASipOfDancingJuice · 02/05/2017 16:03

DD3 would have been Joel if she was a boy, I love it.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 02/05/2017 16:05

Toby.

Like Joe but I think the L spoils it.

maitaimojito · 02/05/2017 16:10

I love Joel. It seems a strong name to me in comparison with Toby.

My DH is Joel. Lovely man & lovely name.

BridgetDarcy · 05/05/2017 00:39
