My grandad was Harold Rodney George
My mum (first born) is Hillary Rosemary Grace
My name is Hailey Rose Gemma

Pregnant with first baby. Want to keep the initals of HRG. Don't know sex.

If you had to name your child with the initials HRG what would you pick? Give me boys and girls.

Well obviously I understand you wouldn't put a u into e.g. Honora or Honoria, or anything derived from those. I would have readily accepted names that could have come from or been inspired by the Roman or Norman periods, for example. The only issue is that I didn't know the actual word honour was coined as a name more than say a hundred years ago. Smile

I only knew because I researched the name when we had DD1 (ultimately didn't go with Annora... But... Hm, maybe we should reconsider for DC2... Anyhow). :)

But yes, I think Nora has the same origin (sometimes, according to some....), doesn't it? I think it's a pretty old name... I mean, there was an emperor Honorius...

Fair enough, I know much about the history of the English language, but did not know that the name Honor was traditional at all, certainly not old enough to be spelled without a u. Smile
