What's your favourite girls' name?

We are so stuck! We both like Scarlet (spelt like the colour, but 1. People will spell it Scarlett (we aren't keen on this spelling!) 2. Her surname is double-barrelled (one of the names is an s, so I'm not keen on that...))

Sad she's 5 weeks on Monday.

What's your favourite name?

Violet seems the most similar to scarlet but without the double s. Saying that if you really love it you'll regret not using it.

Can you tell us the S part of the last name? I have an alliterative name and don't think it sounds odd. I like the name Scarlet and prefer your spelling too. I think if you don't use it you'll regret it as it's obviously the name you feel most drawn to.

A wee warning: Scarlet is slang for "embarrassed" in Ireland (well Dublin anyway...)

Sunshineandlaughter · 22/04/2017 20:27

Then I think charlotte a good suggestion as sounds so similar.

DaniellaJ · 22/04/2017 20:21

We would you for Scarlet but I can't stand the fact she would be S S-J. I really can't get over that Sad thanks for all the great names to look through!
