I'd prefer to change the 'belle' ending, and at the moment (fickle creature I am) I prefer Annabelle, or Annabel.

Sophronia · 22/04/2017 22:40

Isabelle, but I prefer Isobel

DramaAlpaca · 22/04/2017 21:54

If you are going for the frilly 'belle' ending, then Isabelle.

If not, I prefer Annabel.

CPtart · 22/04/2017 20:13

Annabel. Far far too many Isobels and Isabellas, and Izzy is awful as a nn whereas Anna is classy.

mumof2sofar · 22/04/2017 19:57

Isabelle without a doubt

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 22/04/2017 17:23

I prefer Isobel.
Do you like Rosabel (Rosie).

Montsti · 22/04/2017 16:12

I prefer Annabel nn. Anna or Annie (I prefer it to the Annabelle spelling).
I do like Isabelle but prefer Isabella and not keen on Izzy...

FartnissEverbeans · 22/04/2017 15:16

Both lovely but Annabelle feels a bit fresher.

TisConfusion · 22/04/2017 15:14

Both nice but I have to say I prefer Annabelle as it is DDs middle name.
Very pretty name.

RaptorInaPorkPieHat · 22/04/2017 15:08

Word of warning (from experience) Grin

Regardless of what you want, Isabelle will almost definitely become Izzy once she goes to school.

Isabelle will also be misspelled constantly, we didn't realise how many different spellings there were.

Isabel
Isobel
Isobelle
Izabel
Izabelle

It is lovely though (as is Annabelle)

FeedTheSharkAndItWIllBite · 22/04/2017 14:56

*Annabel ;)

FeedTheSharkAndItWIllBite · 22/04/2017 14:56

I like the nn Izzy but dislike Belle (very much, tbh).

Anabel is nice. Isabelle is unfortunately very popular...

MikeUniformMike · 22/04/2017 14:39

Ooh forgot to add. I know one Arabella but she is always known as Ella and I was (pleasantly) surprised when I found out her full name.

MikeUniformMike · 22/04/2017 14:38

Arabella is lovely but long.
I like Isabelle/Isabel but know of many and dislike Izzy.
Annabel - I know one and she's lovely.
Belle? Belly.

bridgetreilly · 22/04/2017 13:56

Isabel or Annabel.

Isabelle and Annabelle both look overblown to me.

GaladrielsRing · 22/04/2017 11:15

Went to school with an Isabel, her nickname was 'Isabel end'

Agree kids can be cruel.

Oysterbabe · 22/04/2017 11:07

I much prefer Annabel. It would have been on our list but there is an Isabelle in the family and DH thought too similar.

We wouldn't use the nn izzy it would probably be belle if anything.

Wishfulmakeupping · 22/04/2017 10:28

Isabelle vs Annabelle
overwhelmedlaura · 22/04/2017 10:22

We have an Annabelle. She calls herself Babelle, is also known as Belle, A-belle. Still love her name.

Rainbowqueeen · 22/04/2017 10:16

Annabelle. I hate the nickname Izzy

SuperBeagle · 22/04/2017 10:15

Annabelle, because the nickname Anna is nicer than the (inevitable) nickname Izzy.

I prefer the spelling Annabel though. It's much simpler and less fussy than Annabelle.
