Afternoon!

Am due a little lady in 5 weeks time and we have been on the name Cari for a while (we are Welsh) but no one knows we are having a girl, so I can't get an opinion on it...

Other than that my husband likes Rita and we already have a Jude - so I quite like Lucy to go with a Beatles theme..

Middle name will be Willow - what do you think? Cari, Rita or Lucy?

Many thanks in advance!!!

Lucy Willow is so sweet. I like Cari also, and sure that'd go down well in Wales. Not sure about Rita - it's a nice cutesy name, but it clashes a bit with Willow.

IrregularCommentary · 21/04/2017 23:40

Prefer Cari or Lucy I think.

LanaDReye · 21/04/2017 23:37

Not Rita.

I've been accidently labelled Rita on a store discount card and whenever I explain that at a till the person serving and I have a laugh as it's such an old drunk aunt name.

bridgetreilly · 21/04/2017 23:32

Ceri, perhaps?

deluxetrolley · 21/04/2017 23:30

Lucy spelt Lucie

DramaAlpaca · 21/04/2017 22:10

Cari or Lucy are both lovely.

Rita is certainly vintage, but I don't think of it as cool. Just old fashioned and rather ugly.

pilates · 21/04/2017 21:54

Not Rita

Lucy is the best

buttercup54321 · 21/04/2017 21:53

Love Lucy . Dislike the other two.

HerRoyalNotness · 21/04/2017 21:39

When I was considering Lucy for DD1 with willow as MN funnily enough, people mentioned it sounded very like pussy willow, not sure if that puts you off.

DD2 is Lucie

Of the others I prefer Cari and seems to go nicer with Willow than Rita

Sophronia · 21/04/2017 20:35

Rita is vintage and cool.

averythinline · 21/04/2017 20:27

Rita is an Aunties name but she was great so is due a comeback
I think it might have been a nn for Margarite/a - but also possibly Rita Hayward thinking of the age!

not sure it goes with Willow though although you could have Margarite Willow and use Rita as a nn????

EmmaC78 · 21/04/2017 20:23

I like Cari but not keen on the other two. Rita sounds old fashioned.

KoalaDownUnder · 21/04/2017 20:22

Rita is awful.

Lucy is a bit wet and overused.

I'd go for Cari.

LadyCallandraDaviot · 21/04/2017 20:20

I know a Rita, spelled Reita - I know messing about with spellings is not approved of on here, but I think this one is good, it makes the name more complete, somehow.

Cari or Rita/Reita for me OP, Lucy is a bit droopy sounding, and the most popular by far.

FeedTheSharkAndItWIllBite · 21/04/2017 19:39

Lucy is lovely!!

I don't really like Cari (but Cara is awesome).

Rita isn't my cup of tea.

Cari or Lucy!

Astralabe · 21/04/2017 19:25

Lucy Willow sounds so drippy! Sorry but you did ask.. Rita - a fab feisty name. Love it.

YoungYolandaYorgensen39 · 21/04/2017 19:09

Cari is lovely.

Jooni · 21/04/2017 18:42

Cari or Lucy for me. Do you live in Wales? If not, Cari might get frequent misspellings but it is a pretty name. Lucy feels like the "safest" choice but it's also very nice.

I know you didn't ask for suggestions but I think you might like Nancy/Nansi?

GinIsIn · 21/04/2017 18:30

Just Cari, or Cariad or Carys either Cari for short? Because I LOVE Cariad

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 21/04/2017 18:29

Rita is a fine name, however, Lucy Willow goes best together.

NappingRabbit · 21/04/2017 18:24

Lucy by a mile for me. Rita is a bit old lady for my taste.

n0ne · 21/04/2017 18:22

Rita is my current favourite if this baby comes out a girl!

floraeasy · 21/04/2017 17:52
