Names that made you think wtf?

My friends Mum recently had a baby and couldn't think of a middle name for her newborn girl. The Mum has a teenage sister, so whilst walking to the birth registration place, she let her pick the middle name just so her daughter had one. Turned out to be a normal name but what a way to pick a name.

There was a boy in my year who's middle name(s) were Ryan Giggs.

Anyone else come across strange reasons/funny names that made you wonder why the parents would want to put there child through it? Grin

Randy Bullock - not joking, he was on my email list at work. Also a lot of our Chinese employees used to pick their own westerised names - some really cool and bizarre ones.

Cockburn is pronounced Co'burn, Cuppa.

Possibly in the manner of Byew-mole though Grin

@hazelnutlatte my geography teacher was called Mrs Marsh and my woodwork teacher was called Mr Woodford. We also had a teacher called Mr G Bennett that we all wanted to be called Gordon but we later found out it was Geoff. I bet there are people called Gordon Bennett though.

I was at Uni with an S. Lapper. We accidentally received her mail once and opened it as we thought it was a piss take - or was a lovely letter from her gran!
My Geography teachers at school were called Mr Fog and Mrs Hill!

The best name I've ever seen on here was somebody's colleague called Roger Mashitter. I remember googling it at the time, and it was true.

I don't get people who do the first name - surname the same. I've known of a Norman Norman, a Martin Martin and, probably the best, Ralph Ralph.

Many years ago my dd use to go to nursery with a Tinkabelle. Apparently she goes by the name of Tink now..

I also use to work with a Brian O'Brian.

'Danger', is it actually pronounced Dong-er like in Brooklyn nine nine? 😂

Also know a Jo King. DS initials spell out his name which wasn't in purpose but i think is kinda cool ( think Joseph Oliver Edward / Joe)

Olivia Wilde was born with the last name Cockburn. How lovely.
Just seen a photo of a man called McDonald Burger. Would upload the photo but it isn't letting me haha.

@cuppateateddy probably outing my old school but my music teacher was called Mr Jurex. He had no idea why we all called him Johnny 😂😂😂

Danger was Austin Powers middle name. Apparently it the most requested change of name by deed poll, not so unique then.

@GaladrielsRing omg, that would be something OH would try and do to me! Kind of cool I suppose but it did make me laugh a bit. Did you tell people your middle name?
...I had some teachers at school who would purposely let us call them something else to save the embarrassment of being called their real shitty names haha.
