Violet or Hope?

violet is sort of my favourite. a few people in my family prefer hope though. which one and why? thanks :)

If you are Up North it might even be pronounced Orp.
I liked the name Chloe until I heard Klaw-eh (and of several Chlo's Down South)

I just realised where im from a lot of people will say Ope and not to keen on that !

I prefer Hope. Violet makes me think of Violent.

Violet. Vi for short. Hope is a bit clunky to me and as a name, I don't really know whether to give it a hard 'p' or let it fade out if ykwim. What about Joy?

My Hope is named after the beautiful Hope Valley in Derbyshire.

Fortunately for her, we didn't used to live in the Manifold Valley!
