I've only ever met one. Is it awful?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I know one. She's 30, Canadian, very clever and lovely. I like the name (I like Juliet too)

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 06/04/2017 20:20

Meant to say, I really like Julia/Juliet.

Yika · 06/04/2017 20:16

Lots of young Julias where I live (a very international environment, not in the UK). Many in my 6 yo DDs school - sometimes several in one class. I personally think it is a very lovely name. I agree with WhiteHair, it is classy and elegant.

SueGeneris · 06/04/2017 20:14

I think it's lovely and fairly timeless.

I also really like the Beatles song.

SwedishEdith · 06/04/2017 20:14

No, it's lovely. Was my great-grandmother's name.

Knew 2 when I was student so they'd be in their 50s now.

MollyHuaCha · 06/04/2017 20:14

Gorgeous name. I also love Juliet, Juliette for a girl and Julian/Jules for a boy.

TwentyCups · 06/04/2017 20:13

One in her twenties.

Lovely name I think for all ages.

ABCFamily · 06/04/2017 20:12

Forgot to say - I was ambivalent about the name, but quite like it since meeting baby Julia.

Phantommagic · 06/04/2017 20:12

I know a few. In 50s, 40s, a handful of teens and a baby. Very nice name.

Natsku · 06/04/2017 20:11

Yes, about 5 years old. Not in the UK though and pronounced Yulia. In the UK most Julias I knew were 40+

Sophronia · 06/04/2017 20:11

I don't know any. It's a lovely name.

Misspilly88 · 06/04/2017 20:10

I know a lovely one in her 30s

elQuintoConyo · 06/04/2017 20:10

One Brit aged 40. And an entire bunch of all sorts of ages - I'm in Spain.

Also one MNer DoItToJulia from 1984 Grin

ABCFamily · 06/04/2017 20:08

Went to school with one, and uni with another. They'd both be in their early thirties now.

Also know a baby Julia (

jamie2 · 06/04/2017 20:07

Yes but it's a bit old fashioned imo

CaipirinhasAllRound · 06/04/2017 20:06

My 39 year old best friend x

bruffin · 06/04/2017 20:06

22 intelligent and pretty

seven201 · 06/04/2017 20:03

I know 2 Julia's (one 30 something, one teen) and a Julie. I like Julia.

yesnowplease · 06/04/2017 20:01

One - mid 20s.

I like it.

BellMcEnd · 06/04/2017 20:01

I know 2. One her 40s and a 7 year old. It's a lovely name

LokisSister · 06/04/2017 20:00

My HR manager has a 7 year old called Julia. I love it! She's Lithuanian with an English husband and said they wanted a name that fitted both cultures.

LinaBo · 06/04/2017 19:58

I just looked it up, it's top 10 in my home country and I know quite a few there.

DoItTooJulia · 06/04/2017 19:58

I know a Julia. Mid 30s.

My nn is from 1984. Julia was Winston's lover.

Jooni · 06/04/2017 19:58

Yes I know one in her early fifties. She's fab and very cool though. My dad is a Julian, he's less cool but I still think he has a great name.

I think Julia is a beautiful name - very classy, timeless and international. I love Jules as a shortening too.

LinaBo · 06/04/2017 19:57

Very popular in my home country. I know one in the UK, she's 9 and lovely Smile
